It's Bathtime!

Sam had his first "real" bath last week. Yes, it took his cord nearly 5 weeks to fall off. I was glad it finally did and so was Sam because he loved his first bath and every one since! I don't think he has cried once! He's growing so fast! Just take a look at that tummy and those chubby cheeks!!He's doing great and he is still sleeping through the night for me! Seriously, I didn't think it was possible for that to happen but the day he was 1 month, he slept the entire night and he is still doing it. I'm NOT complaining!

Anyways, here is Sam relaxing with his first bath...

1 Month Old

Yesterday marked Sam's 1 month birthday. It has been a very sweet month with our sweet Sam. I know how quickly times goes by. The days and nights can seem so long sometimes but I think back to Logan and Addie and it is amazing how quickly the years pass. So, we are enjoying ALL of it, even the long days and nights. (Should I dare to say that Sam slept through the night last night?!?! YIPEE!!!!)

Here are some things I don't want to forget about Sam's 1st month:
~Logan and Addie love him very much. Logan continues to want to kiss, hug, and hold him at all times. He told me the other day that "he (Sam) is so cute he just wants to eat him up". Addie is a little momma to him. She lets me know when he is crying (as if I don't hear him), she brings me diapers, blankets, pacifiers, etc. even if they are not needed, and she continues to say "I love Baby Sam" all the time. There have been at least 3 times where people have asked her what her baby brother's name is and she always tells them Cooper. I don't get it because she calls him Baby Sam! Oh well, it makes me laugh.
~The other night we were all in Addie's bed and I was reading them a story. David was holding Sam so that he was kind of sitting up and could see what was going on. He started looking at Logan and just smiled and smiled. It's hard to tell if he is smiling because of gas or if it is a real smile. We are convinced it was a real smile because he kept looking around and smiling. Logan and Addie got so tickled. They started laughing and they couldn't stop. It was a very sweet moment! I am especially loving how Logan and Addie respond to him...it is precious and I don't want to forget these sweet days!

I will stop rambling on about our sweet Sam! We have so enjoyed this past month and are just so thankful...

Easter Fun

We had a great Easter at home. It was just the kids and me because David was on shift at the fire department. We missed him but we made the best of it! Thankfully, David's parents came by for a little while so I could hide some eggs for the kids. It was a beautiful day! We didn't make it to church. I just didn't think it was a practical expectation to think I could get all 3 kids dressed in their Sunday best, load the car up with the kids, and then make it to church. Logan was a little sad but I keep explaining to him that things will get "normal" again and we will be out and about together soon. This is something that I also keep reminding myself as well!

Here are some pictures from our beautiful Easter Sunday at home...

The Easter Bunny came...

Addie was so excited to fancy her face up with some "bling" the Easter bunny left...

You can see just how very excited Sam is about his Easter goodies...

Addie wearing more "bling" and painting her own nails with her own polish...

Logan was excited...

especially about these flip flops...(the Easter bunny was very practical this year and this boy really needed some flip flops)

We were blessed with a beautiful Easter Sunday! Hope you were too!

Finally a 1st Haircut!

We finally got Addie's 1st haircut...FINALLY! I took her before Sam was born as a Mommy and Addie day. We did not have a lot cut off...just enough to get rid of the stringy ends. I am not ready to do anything major to her hair. I'm afraid if we do, it will be forever changed. She definitely has my thick hair and it is very necessary for it to be long enough to pull back into a big ponytail. I think shorter hair would be hard on all of us! Anyways, she did great and was so excited to go to mommy's salon to have her hair cut. She smiled the entire time and was so happy when Miss Jennifer french braided her hair. When Jennifer was done, she said "I'm a princess now!" She is so easy to make happy!

She had a choice in going to get ice cream or a sucker. I was hoping for ice cream but she chose a sucker. Like I said, she is so easy to make happy!!

Sam's Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures we had taken the week after we came home with Sam. A sorority sister from college came to the house and took these. She did a great job! Click HERE if you want to check her business out!

Spring Break

Logan's spring break was last week and I knew that I would not be much fun for Logan after having the c-section and a new baby boy less than 3 weeks before. So, I called on my wonderful mother to come and spend the week with us. It was beyond fabulous to have her here. She was great entertainment for the kids and a HUGE help to me. She, along with my sister, took the kids to the zoo, the discovery center, and taxied Sam and me to his doctor appointment all in the first few days of the week. We finished the week off with a picnic in the park that Sam and I tagged along on and then we colored eggs and decorated cookies. Oh...after the fun with the cookies and eggs, we ended up in our "safe place" due to a tornado warning. We were in there with my 3 kids, my sister (who is terrified of storms!), her little one Claire, my mom, and David was our storm spotter. David placed us all in the closet along with some of his fire helmets for protection...I had to get a picture! All in all, it was a great week! As a matter of fact, I was so sad on Monday morning when I found myself having to unload the dishwasher, fix breakfast, fold the laundry, and much more. We are ready for you to come back any day now Grammy! Really...THANK YOU so much for everything...you are the BEST!
Here are some pictures from the week...

Wordless Wednesday
