Guess who got the gameball?

It was Logan! He played a great game on Saturday, hitting the ball all 3 times up to bat and having fun in the field. He played first base and that was a learning experience for him. He eventually got the hang of it. They all have so much fun on the field and that's what it's all about!
Here is "Sport" with his first Gameball...

That's My Baby!

After baseball pictures on Saturday, we spent some time playing on the playground before Logan's game started. Addie was crawling through the tunnel when one of Logan's sweet teammates came barrelling over her. Logan caught a glimpse of this and ran to her defense. I just had to document this because it is a rare occurence and I figure it will be reassuring to read when we are playing referee around the house.

Logan (to his teammate): Hey, watch our for her! She is a baby and you need to be careful!
Sweet Teammate: Is that your baby?
Logan: Yes she is and I love her so be careful!

This dialogue put some concerns to rest, but only for a few minutes when I looked up only to find Logan doing the exact thing he had just asked his sweet teammate to stop doing. Oh well...I guess Logan was living by the principle..."Do as I say, not as I do!".

No, No Addie!!

Addie's favorite place in our house is our bathroom. Why? Well, she loves toothpaste!! I know that is so random but any chance she gets, she goes straight to the bathroom to get the tube of toothpaste. While she usually cannot get the tube open, it is still dangerous (I know that is exactly what my sweet mom is thinking as she reads this!). So, the toothpaste is now forbidden from the drawers within her reach so that she, hopefully, cannot get her hands on another tube of toothpaste again. The good side to her loving toothpaste so much is that she sits so still and lets me brush her teeth for as long as I please. I am hoping her dental bill will reflect her love of toothpaste...

Go WhiteSox!!

Logan had his first baseball game on Saturday! It was so fun to watch all the little ones play. Logan did great! He was so excited to be playing in a "real" baseball game. He hit the ball both times he was up to bat. His first field position was pitcher and then he played in left field. For every player that was on the field, there was a dad on the field. It was so cute!! We are looking forward to many more games...

Now it's time for the video. These are just some short clips and kind of shaky. You will hear a little one crying in the background. Yes, that is our sweet Addie!

This is Logan's first time up to bat as a "real" baseball player. He hit it good and ran hard to first base...

Now, here he is running into home. He's pretty serious about this. He's sliding into home base already...

One more...Logan is sitting here with me, watching his video and he decided he wants this one up too. It's his second time up to bat. This time, you don't hear Addie crying but it is shaky from me trying to keep her off of the fields.

Another Beautiful Day

I got the best birthday present ever...an absolutely beautiful day spent at the park with my family! When we were done picnining and playing, we headed to Nana and Pop's for cake. It couldn't have been any better. However, I am a little bit sad that this is my last year in the twenties. I am very happy and blessed to have had 29 birthdays but I'm still feeling a little sad for this final year of being "twenty something". I was telling David this and he had some comforting words. He told me that in 10 years, I would be celebrating my last year as a "thirty something". Thanks so much sweet hubby!! Anyways, here are some pictures of us from the park...

Carpet Jet-Skiing?

In an earlier post, I enlightened you on a few things we did around our house for fun. Well, I thought I would enlighten you on another. David came up with this creation (as he always comes up with these creative, indoor activities) using a flattened out box and our dog's leash.

So, here you have it...Carpet Jet Skiing for Addie and Carpet Surfing for Logan. (We just couldn't call it Jet-Skiing with Logan. He had a minor accident and decided if we called it surfing, he was better off.) So, here they are...

He's a Black Stripe!

Logan had his big test in Karate about a week and half ago. It went great but we weren't sure what to expect as far as what rank he would earn. He had his awards ceremony on Thursday night. We were very proud to find out he went from Tiger Cub Blue Strip all the way to Tiger Cub Black Strip! He skipped over 2 rankings and is now a Black Stripe...WOW! He is on his way to the Junior League next. Way to go Logan!!

And I had to share this...what a face!! Always makes me smile!!
