The Bourg Wedding

Logan and I had the honor of being a part of my dear friend's wedding. It was the wedding of Jamie Berger to Peter Bourg (from France). The wedding was in Atlanta and it was a fabulous weekend! Logan was the ring bearer and I was a matron of honor. Logan did an AMAZING job. I was a little worried because he was a little hesitant on Friday night. However, he decided to hold the precious flower girl's hand and escort her down the aisle. It was so cute. I'll admit I did bribe him "a little" with candy and the toy store. I'm not ashamed...it worked! Anyways, here are some pictures from our fun and fabulous weekend. My parents were there so we got ALOT of help from them. Thanks Grammy and Papa Skip for baby sitting all weekend!

The Rehearsal Dinner: Logan & Addie went back to the hotel, ate pizza and watched cartoons with Grammy and Papa Skip. We enjoyed dinner...it was great!

The Reception

Logan was great entertainment, dancing the night away! Seriously, he broke out some Hip Hop moves and I don't know what else. It was GREAT!!

And then there was Addie, she had to be the center of attention with her twists and twirls on the dance floor.

David was even spotted on the dance floor...GO DADDY!!
And now for the icing on the cake...
This is what the kids had waited for since we got to Atlanta and it was OH SO GOOD!
They ate their cake and they headed back to the hotel with Grammy and Papa Skip.
And, here is a short video clip of Logan dancing. I have to disclose that neither David nor I have ever danced like this with him. He likes to watch a show called "Hip Hop Harry" on Discovery Kids. That is the only place I can think of that he learned these moves and I think some of them are just invented by whatever he was feeling at the moment. You will notice that by the end of the clip, he goes back into a pose with his leg up in the air. We called this "The Zone". He would spend a minute in this position, slowly move out of it and break a move, then he would slowly get back in "The Zone" until he broke out another move. We laughed so hard. We have had a few requests for dance lessons...

Party Time!

I am finally posting Logan's Birthday Party Pictures, just a little over a week late...oops! He had a GREAT birthday party. We had it at the Jump Zone and we had about 16 kids. They had a blast. There were all kinds of inflatables with a fire truck and monster truck slide, a big obstacle course, a carousel, and even a little toddler play area for the little ones. We did a lot of jumping, sliding, and climbing! I think it was even a work out for the adults! So, here are some of the pictures from the big day...

The Birthday Boy

Cousins

Mommy and Addie just came down the fire truck slide and it was so much fun! Of course, Addie loved it and had no fear.
Mommy, Daddy, and Addie coming down the Monster Truck Slide. This was definitely a FAST one!!
The birthday boy and his cool firetruck cake...
I must mention that when we got home, we had to clean out our bonus room just to make room for all of the toys he got. Wow...his friends sure do know him well! He has had a blast playing with everything! He is already planning his party for next year...

Happy Birthday Logan!!!

Just wanted to post a quick picture of the birthday boy. Here he is this morning, enjoying his birthday pancakes, especially this one with the big number 5 on it. He is beside himself excited! Well, we are off to celebrate for now...

Trip to the Zoo

Aunt Jenn and Baby Claire invited us to go to the zoo with them. We didn't pass this up, especially since they are members and we can get in as their guests. We had a great day seeing the animals, riding the Carousel, and then playing on the BIG jungle gym! Thank you Aunt Jenn and Baby Claire...

Still counting (only in black and white/sepia this time)...

Only 3 more wake ups until Logan's big day. When I was going through our picture files, I was finding a whole lot of pictures that I had changed to black and white or sepia. I thought I would change the scenery a little and post those instead of color ones. I love black and white pictures anyways...

That's all for this one. Come back in 3 more wake ups to see pictures of the 5 year old...

Just a Quick Note

The newest song to our playlist was not added by me, Logan, nor Addie...that only leaves David. Can you guess which one he added? He's too funny...

And the countdown continues...

Only 6 more wake-ups until it's Logan's Birthday. I figured I better keep the memories coming since I am running out of time. These pictures take us up to him becoming a Big Brother. It's hard finding too many good pictures because I actually have a lot of his pictures on completed scrapbook pages. Wish I could say the same for Addie...oh well...one day!!

This picture is for Daddy!! Logan got this blow up/ball pit fire truck for Christmas. David and Logan used to play fireman in it. Sirens would go off and the next thing I knew, they were running and diving in the engine then putting an imaginary fire out. Thus, it didn't take long for the engine to deflate with a hole in it. Oh well, David just replaced it with a real fire truck (Go Daddy!!)...who would have thought?!?!
Off to school for the first time as a Big Brother... (He doesn't really have a scratch on his forehead. The picture was scratched and that's just the way it scanned in.)
That's all for this post but come back soon for more...

Boom, Boom!!!

I can't imagine a better place to celebrate the 4th of July than at Grammy and Papa Skip's. So, that is where we were. The kids and I spent the week there but my two brothers (Matt and Luke), one of my sisters (Gina), and all of their families joined us for the weekend. It was a bit crowded and crazy at times but it was oh so much fun! There are 9 grandkids now and we are still growing. There was never a dull moment...

We fished...

We celebrated our country's birthday with sparklers and watched the fireworks on the river...

Here we are watching the fireworks on the river, minus the little ones who were back at the cabin with Uncle Matt, tucked in for bed...

We spent the days on the boat and played in the river...

Logan rode and maybe drove (???) on a jet ski and he loved it! All he could say was FASTER, FASTER as mommy closed her eyes...

After all of the fun, we were beyond tired. I caught Logan nodding off before dinner on Saturday night...
Thanks Grammy and Papa Skip for having ALL of us! You guys are the BEST!
